After a two-month recess, Cornell Racing is reenergized and ready to implement our new designs on another championship car. Although we did not have an opportunity to return during winter break for Jan Man, the entire team has used the time to reflect on our experiences, and brainstorm ways we can improve our management of personnel, communication, and knowledge. Last month, the College of Engineering kindly arranged a team retreat for us to help facilitate conversation on team management and organize all our program ideas into a plan of action. As a result of our talks and discussion, Cornell Racing developed new initiatives to increase team unity through member mentoring, and to improve safety through better team regulations and oversight. In addition, we have new personnel management programs that specifically aim to improve morale and reduce stress levels for the entire team. We are confident that our new plans will not only promote growth of our members, but also cultivate an even stronger culture of respect and professionalism. Executing these organizational changes will be Cornell Racing's top priority this semester; these programs are crucial to realizing our vision of creating an educational, professional, and successful team.

Cornell FSAE is on its way to adding a 10th World Championship to its records. Preliminary designs, which finished over a week ago, showcased the team's dedication and passion. Not only were the designs thorough and robust, but they also encompassed many of the drastic changes the team hopes to implement to further its 25 year history of innovation and success. With secondary designs scheduled for this coming Friday, October 28th, team members are camping out in the design studio in the pursuit of once again becoming the team to beat. The team is extremely excited about ARG12 and can't wait to unveil the finished product.
